Bring all the colours of the garden indoors with this bright, cheerful room. Go bold with strong colours and fanciful touches that reflect your child's interests.
View Colours
Create your own secret garden with spring blossom colours of pink and yellow. Add a dash of green to set off the recessed bookcase, and you'll give the room the breezy feel of a cottage garden.
A section of real white picket fence attached behind the bed, combined with white wooden shutters, will complete your child's garden retreat.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prime the surface with Benjamin Moore Fresh Start® Primer.
- Apply the base colour using the roller and allow to dry.
- While walls are drying, sand any rough spots on the picket fence. Clean with tack cloth, and prime the surface. Allow to dry.
- Paint the trim, bookcase interior, and picket fence using brushes and allow to dry.
- Attach picket fence to the wall behind the bed. Use a stud finder to locate wall studs for proper mounting. Consult with your local home supply or hardware store for the right wall anchors for your particular type of wall.
- If the room does not have existing shutters, they should be purchased and mounted according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Prime the shutters, allow them to dry, and paint. If you are installing new shutters, prime and paint before installation.
